The Gombe State Project Coordinator, Engr Mohammed Adamu and the Natural Resources Officer, Mohammed Musa Aliyu of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) have been presented with certificates of excellent performance. The duo received the honour from the Youth Tree Planting Association, an environmental non-Governmental organization in Gombe State.
It is also worthy to recall that one of the remedial activities been carried out by NEWMAP in the state include some sites at the Gombe State University. Thankful for the role of NEWMAP, the leader of the team of academic experts stressed that the Department of Geography in Gombe State University has a lot to offer to improve the environment.
